The brief:
The client is a married woman with a ten-year-old daughter. She’s looking to modernize the main level of her home to better reflect her family’s lifestyle and aesthetic. Her husband, an enthusiastic home cook, prefers an open-concept kitchen that keeps him engaged with the rest of the household. The client enjoys hosting small gatherings with friends, and her sister—who is often an overnight guest—visits regularly. As part of the renovation, she would like to include a comfortable and welcoming guest room on the ground floor. Although the bedrooms are upstairs, the renovation will focus exclusively on the entire main level.

The task:
The project required a complete redesign of the ground floor, starting from scratch. The new layout features a combined guest room and office, along with a dedicated bathroom and updated laundry area. The floor plan was reimagined with an open-concept approach, anchored by a central fireplace in the living room to create a cohesive and inviting flow throughout the space.
